Steve Dunne is Chief Executive of Digital Drums Ltd, a leading UK marketing and communications strategy consultancy. He is also non-executive chairman of the Brighter Group Ltd, the UK’s largest independent travel marketing and PR consultancy. Steve is also deputy chairman of The Chartered Institute of Marketing’s European travel practice and is a regular media commentator on the travel sector.
He is a marketer with over 35 years experience of working with blue chip brands inside and beyond the travel sector. Steve has worked with airlines, travel management companies, car rental companies and hotels and was formerly an advisor to the UK’s GTMC for 12 years - producing and moderating several of their international conferences.
Steve is a former head of corporate communications for British Telecom Plc, HSBC and, globally, South African Airways. Steve has also been a board director of four leading multi national PR consultancies including major global agency Porter Novelli.
He has advised a host of organisations on reputation management and digital communications including the British Prime Minister’s Office, The Royal Navy, Virgin Atlantic, Arcadia Group and many banks, charities and tourist boards. He has led PR campaigns for some of the UK’s leading brands including Gordon’s Gin, Johnny Walker, Prince's Foods and Sony.
